Dr. J. Ross Avila was recently recognized as the 2015 Physician of the Year for SSM St. Mary’s – St. Louis! The award, presented in the second quarter of 2016, is given to a recipient chosen by the hospital’s nursing leadership. It was developed to recognize the partnership that nurses have with the physicians at St. Mary’s.
Dr. Avila joined SCP as a provider in early 2015. According to an article written for the SSM newsletter, “In just a little over a year, he has become a favorite among nurses and staff who describe him as a very engaged physician who consistently delivers high quality care and exceptional customer service with a smile.” Congratulations, Dr. Avila!
