AGENDA OVERVIEW

The 2019 Medical Leadership Conference was created with you in mind. With your feedback from last year’s conference, we have created an inspiring, educational, and engaging lineup! We continue to offer “tracks” for emergency medicine, hospital medicine, new Medical Directors, and Lead NPs/PAs, as well as clinical leadership tools. Attendees can choose to follow one track or attend a variety of sessions and mix-and-match from other tracks. For the full agenda click here or log in to the MLC App (instructions to download).

EMERGENCY MEDICINE

Medical Directors and Lead NPs/PAs can choose from three tracks that align with SCP Health goals.

  • GROW – Our financial track focuses on concepts that utilize cost and quality, thereby enhancing financial performance. Learn how to survive a lawsuit and protect yourself against medical malpractice.
  • EXCEL – Our clinical track focuses on improving patient care and quality, thereby enhancing patient safety. Point-of-care, ultrasound, and a hands-on demo station will be available.
  • LEAD – Our administrative track focuses on developing leadership skills, time management and patient flow, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and leadership effectiveness. Learn how to communicate with the c-suite and strengthen that relationship.

HOSPITAL MEDICINE

In addition to providing a leadership and operational update, our Hospital Medicine track will showcase palliative care strategies that can be used within the hospital setting.

FUNDAMENTALS FOR MEDICAL DIRECTORS*

This track focuses on the fundamental skills of a Medical Director at SCP Health. As a new Medical Director, you will be provided information about the tools and resources available to be successful in your role within the organization.

FUNDAMENTALS FOR LEAD NPs/PAs*

This track focuses on the fundamental skills of a Lead NP/PA at SCP Health. As a new Lead, you will be provided information about the tools and resources available to be successful in your role within the organization.

*The ‘Fundamentals’ sessions are designed with new providers in mind, but can be helpful if you need a refresher on SCP Health resources.

In addition to the 33 breakout sessions offered, we will also provide an update on the healthcare industry and showcase an inspirational guest speaker.
